Ocean Beach, San Diego. Seven p.m.. It's been a long travel day. A day of firsts.
There are the days that you will never forget for as long as you live. Perhaps only a handful.
Some, unforgettable because they are marred by tragedy. And others, because of remarkable beauty.
Perhaps one was the first time you ever visited the limitless sea . . .
And meditated on infinity.
Or the day you introduced its joys to your own children. For we dwellers of the high and dry desert, such a moment is as to be caught up in the very swell of a lovely fairy story if you're of the right age.
And then one sweet day may come, perhaps late some summer evening. You watch on as your offspring introduces the vastness of that universe to their own . . .
Wishing you beautiful new summer memories.
Jacqueline

Ocean Beach in San Diego is where I met my husband at a Fourth of July party. It is the beach we revisited countless times and the beach I go to when I am working in San Diego. It holds countless wonderful memories for me.

Looks wonderful. I love a cool day at the seaside. My favorite kind.
It looks like you had a wonderful time... what beautiful photos to keep the memories alive! Enjoy...
Jacqueline,
Lovely memories captured with your beautiful photography! I, too, have wonderful memories from Padre Island of introducing the ocean to our first born son with my husband and my beloved brother. We captured them on 8mm movies and had them converted to dvd. These memories are priceless!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Your photos are breathtaking, capturing God's amazing creation! The ocean never ceases to intrigue me.

Beautiful images! We just spent a long weekend with our girls and their young families and it's a joy to watch them introducing their children to the wonders of nature!
Have a wonderful vacation!

Hi Beach Baby...
Well this is nothing shy of breathtaking... I am so glad you are having th time of your life! How did you find the beach so empty? Well, I am going to admit, I am a little jealous, dig your toes into the sand for me!!

How lovely. I loved the comment....about days....
some being memorable because they were marred by tragedy...and others because of exquisit joy.
I have had both those kinds of days in my life.
The JOY ones are better.
