Unexpected Guests

The last roses of the season are celebrated here as much as the first. We never get a profusion of blooms because we don't really deserve it! We don't pay much attention to gardening, and we only have a few bushes. But our roses are a testament to the hardiness, reliability, and resilience of the most beloved of flowers.

Our bushes are mostly inherited. They were in place when we arrived on the scene, and we never knew their names. So we just call them all beautiful. A few china roses round out the festivities for our unexpected, but very welcome, October guests. . . .

I hope your week is as lovely as roses!
Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

I switched to Google Chrome as my browser a month ago and I can't believe how much easier blogging has become for me. I can publish a post so much faster and publish comments so much easier. I was getting so frustrated with IE.

Beautiful is a perfect name, and are the background flowers a group of snapdragons? you get different flowers then me so I am always curious:-)
Oh course your rosy china is DIVINE!! Lovin that little vintage jacket on your sidebar too, the ruffles, sigh....

  19. How delightful for Pink Saturday. When the Sandwich Generation issues of life get to be a bit much, I love to "Stop and smell the roses" - in my senior mom's gardening patch or online in lovely pictures like these. Thank you for a sweet and restful break.
