Nostalgia & A Few Delightful Links of the Week

What is the mystery that makes one long for a time and place that we've never known? The yearning that keeps us reaching for images and objects of nostalgia? It is a question for philosophers. But its answer may come nearer on a relaxed and joyful Sunday morning than any place else.

Here are a few links from the week that give me that Sunday Morning In June  feeling. I hope you enjoy them if you haven't discovered them already.

Ciao for now!
Jacqueline

I love these images. My longing for things of the past seems to increase the older I get! It's just good old nostalgia kicking in and longing for simpler days and lifestyle. Have a great week! Blessings, Pamela

Gorgeous, gorgeous! And yes, why is it that we are nostalgic for times we've never known ourselves? It is imagined history - where we assume (or pretend) that life was kinder 'then'. This might or might not be true. Nothing wrong with a touch of nostalgia, as long as we don't forsake our commitments to life as we know it. Perhaps a touch of nostalgia can help us crystallize the ideals we would like to implement here. A kinder, slower, gentler life. Then it's not just about the pretties.

But the pretties are a good start!

Here you go, I got philosophical after all. Sorry 'bout that ;)
