The Snuggery in Spring

The snuggery is sporting a little different look these days with just a touch of ruffle and pink. I've had this Shabby Chic slipcover for a couple of years after finding it in a thrift store. It didn't fit the larger sofa I had then, and I wouldn't have considered using it in my living room anyway. Oh what a fickle lot we are!

Getting it ready for my patio settee I wondered if it wouldn't fit the current sofa, and popped it on. That was a couple of weeks ago!

It makes me happy for the current season, and Mr. C&C finds it cheery too. Heretofore (I like that old-fashioned word) the only other pink was found in the rose painting.

Doesn't every cottage need one of these?

I remembered another bit of dusty rose I had tucked away that has a decidedly French flavor, and invited it in.

Now we are all rosy and cozy. Who'd of thought?

If you'd like to see the snuggery in winter, find it here.

Now it just begs for a teapot and bunny books.
( . . . Maybe next time.)
Thanks for hopping by!
Ciao! for now!

  4. Very snuggery indeed, Jacqueline.
I think I have the same slip,or very similar. only mine's a table cloth, I use it to cover my favorite chair to keep it clean. Pink can be such an amazing color when used in the right doses, and you sure got it right. xxx tami

  5. It is so lovely, Jacqueline! So cozy one just wants to cuddle up in the corner of that couch with a book and a favorite beverage. I often use bed pillows with shams for my couch. Makes it so comfy. Maybe I shall do that again soon. You never disappoint with your style and elegance!

  7. Hi Jacqueline,

I just love, love, love this room!! All the elements are the kinds of things I love; the shabby chic slipcover, the roses, the rose painting, the botanical book on the sofa, the dusty rose quilt, the ottoman, and the handsome cabinet with all the pretty dishes. I also love the idea of a pot of tea and bunny books. Did you know that traditional Irish pubs have a small room or alcove known as a "snug". What a perfect name for this sitting room. I bet it's extra cozy in winter with a fire in the fireplace. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Isn't serendipity wonderful? I love it when it happens. :) And I love that white brick wall I see and your fabulous old rose paintings. You are so lucky to have them. I sell them and keep some special ones and feel so incredibly lucky every time I find one. Have a happy day. xo Lynn
