Springtime In Paris

It doesn't take much to transport me to the
City of Lights. Just a suggestion or two will do.

A bit of antiquity. Wrought iron. Curvaceous shapes.

Fleurs. And a faded French tapestry.

An old book, a romantic phrase, foxed and water stained pages.

Majolica cafe plates with a poire motif. A snippet of lacy eyelet.

I can almost hear the accordian music.

I hope you're enjoying a little suggestion of spring no matter where you are!

Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline, Loved your serene and beautiful post. What is that backdrop? It's so charming! It's still quite wintry here---storming and chilly. But Steve and I are headed to the Camas Antique Mall to see what that's all about. Dangerous, I know! (I'm sure I'll find something I must buy!) But hopefully a pleasant thing to do on a nasty, non-spring day! It's a long drive so I better hit the road!
Love, Kay

Hi Jaqueline, it's Spring here for certain, warming up and perfect weather lately. Love your dishes, I have some in those colors too, I hang them on the wall entering my hallway. The browns, yellows and reds mix nicely. Your images are gorgeous as always, stopping over from French Cupboard, xoxo tami

I adore your plate! My son and I have been collecting a similar pattern piece by piece over the last several years (in fact, I did a post about it ages ago: http://countingyourblessings.blogspot.com/2009/07/piece-by-piece.html)

Anyhow... =) Thank you for sharing your French Inspiration!
