Storybook Time

Whenever I look at the little biscuit jar on my sideboard I'm really a million miles away in place and time. I climb right into storybook land where charming little objects like this are used every day.

I'm transported to "The Secret Valley" in the Foxwood Tales for tea.

And for a few moments I live in a tiny little house in the woods.

With a cozy little kitchen just like this.

Care to join me?

I hope you have a cozy storybook weekend, inside or out!
Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

I'm linking to Pink Saturday

Maybe you'll want to join in!

What an enchanting post. I have many biscuit barrels and I love them. I think you could say I have the beginnings of a collection of them. They make me smile and think of country kitchens with tea parties and what-not. Have a nice weekend. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Lovely! The fun thing...is the biscuit barrel...isn't! It's an early staffordshire sucrier or sugar holder from when sugar came in large lumps. But they certainly make perfect tea caddies and biscuit jars today. I just love them!

Happy Pink Saturday Jacqueline Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I love seeing the china incorporated with the child book stories. So beautiful. Love that biscuit jar. It is absolutely delightful.

I too, always loved those forest homes of the animals. It always looked so enchanting and warm. Really makes you wonder what those rabbits have down those rabbit holes does it not?

Your china is beautiful sweet friend, and I would love to stay for tea. What a beautiful invitation. I have so enjoyed myself today at Cabin and Cottage. Thank you for the tea.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Thank you! I like my tea plain, please.

Your cozy small cottage is almost exactly like mine, with all the tiny things in their tiny places, comfortable chairs, a beautifully-laid table, and an air of great comfort and warmth and shine to the whole place. And the kettle is always on the hob.
