White and Cozy

I'm not an all white decorator. But I love it and probably use more white than the average person.

And I'm attracted to collecting a lot of white things.

I get energized seeing a lot of white together. It's sort of the visual equivalent of caffeine for me.

Especially white linens, and luckily I always have some around in every shade. Hand crocheted lace especially gets me going.

I'm loving white ironstone more all the time.

And my new tea leaf platters were just begging to be included.

As was this wood pedestal which is new to the premises.

My excitement is also generated by all the textures of white....

French white, vanilla, off white--the warmer tones are my winter whites. I find them downright cozy.

Hope you're all tucked up nice and snug for White Wednesday!
Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

  3. So pretty! Found you from your link at Faded Charm! I love white, too and am slowly becoming obsessed! All my walls are pastels--bluegreens, green, blue, etc....so it sorta looks like Easter all year 'round now--at least that's what some of my friends say...actually one said it looks like Easter exploded in a church!

  4. You have a beautiful collection. White holds a special place in my heart also. It is such a great accent to any color - probably one of the reasons I love it so much.

  5. I am with ya on the not white decor.
But a few great pieces stand out amongst the rest.
You definitely have some beautiful whites here.
    Love the crochet as well!

  7. You have a beautiful collection and a great eye! I have begun my own collection of all things white. I recently picked up a couple of homer laughlin eggshell demis that were too sweet to pass up. I love the way my growing collection looks in the glass front kitchen cabinets. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Yes, there is something about shades of White that is definitely attractive. I love your White collections. I may never have an all shades of White World in my Bohemian color saturated one... but with a houseful of kids, pets and menfolk it would be challenging to KEEP it White... so I'll opt to lust after the White decor I see shared and appreciate that my Boheme hues hide all the wear and tear, dirt, dust and mishaps that Life dishes out at this ole house. *wink* Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment!

  27. Hi Jacqueline.
I just found your blog and have been enjoying reading about your white collection. Love it. I love whites too, but I tend to mix a lot of cobalt blue and white. Looking forward to reading your future posts. If you have a chance, I would be honored if you would check out my blog too.
